Mark carried little Lily safely inside the house into the cool living room.
Evelyn followed close behind while holding her bruised elbow gently.
Sarah walked inside right behind them with her arms folded tight.
Stepmother: You are overreacting to simple child discipline, Mark!
Father: Scaring a toddler is not discipline, Sarah!
Mark placed Lily gently on the soft leather sofa.
The little girl sobbed quietly and held onto her grandmother's hand tightly.
Grandmother: She has been mistreating Lily for weeks behind your back.
Mark turned toward Sarah with deep concern in his eyes.
Father: Is this true, Sarah?
Stepmother: She is lying because she hates me!
Evelyn pulled out her mobile phone from her sweater pocket.
Grandmother: I took videos when you were not looking yesterday.
Sarah's face turned completely pale as Evelyn unlocked her phone screen.
She pressed play on a video recorded near the backyard patio.
The clip showed Sarah screaming threats at the helpless toddler.
Mark watched the video clip with growing horror and deep anger.
Father: How could you treat my daughter like this?
Stepmother: She was spoiled and needed strict rules!
Father: She is only three years old, Sarah!
Mark realized that marrying Sarah had been a massive mistake.
He pulled out his own phone and dialed his divorce lawyer immediately.
Stepmother: Who are you calling right now?
Father: I am calling my legal team to start divorce proceedings.
Sarah gasped in anger and tried to grab Mark's legal documents off the desk.
Stepmother: You can't just kick me out of this house!
Father: This house is in my family trust name alone.
Sarah realized that her position of authority was rapidly falling apart.
Stepmother: I will sue you for alimony and half the estate!
Grandmother: You won't get a single dime after what you did.
Mark looked Sarah straight in the eyes with absolute coldness.
Father: Pack your personal belongings and leave immediately.
Sarah stomped upstairs toward the master bedroom in complete fury.
Mark held his mother's hand gently to comfort her shivering frame.
Grandmother: Thank God you opened your eyes in time, son.
Father: I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner, Mom.
The family knew that the battle was far from over yet.
