The Marble Floor Nightmare

The Billionaire’s Heiress Plunged From The Fifth Floor Balcony

Richard: Clara, look at me. Are you certain she was pushed, or did she just slip?

Clara: Sir, I was cleaning the baseboards near the grand staircase when I heard the shriek and the wind rush. That baby didn't tumble naturally. She was thrown over.

Richard: Thrown? By my own wife?

Clara: Mrs. Vanessa was the only one up on the fifth-floor gallery. I saw her shadow retreat the second the blanket cleared the railing.

Richard's fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned bone-white against the dark fabric of his Italian suit.

Richard: After everything I provided for her. After putting her name on the deed and trusting her with my daughter's life.

Clara: Mr. Richard, please, let me take little Lily to the nursery. Her breathing is stabilizing, but she's still terrified.

Richard: No, stay right here with me, Clara. We are calling the police and locking down every single exit in this mansion.

Vanessa: Richard, you are making a massive mistake! You're listening to a maid over your own wife?

Vanessa descended the grand staircase slowly, her designer heels clicking sharply against the stone steps, her face pale beneath her makeup.

Richard: Stay back, Vanessa! Do not take another step toward my daughter!

Vanessa: It was a slip! The cashmere blanket was heavy, and she squirmed out of my grip while I was looking at my phone!

Richard: A phone? You were checking your phone while holding a one-year-old baby near a five-story drop?

Vanessa: People get distracted! You're blowing this way out of proportion because you've always favored the nanny!

Clara: Ma'am, nobody is favoring anyone. That baby almost died on this marble floor.

Vanessa: Shut up, you hired help! This is a family matter between me and my husband!

Richard: She is more family right now than you'll ever be! Get out of my sight before I lose my temper completely.

Vanessa: This is my home too! My name is on the mortgage agreement and the prenuptial papers!

Richard: Not for long. My divorce lawyer is going to strip you of every single penny.

Vanessa: You can't do that! You'll ruin our social standing in Dallas!

Richard: I care about my daughter's heartbeat, not our social standing. Clara, hand me my phone.

Clara: Here it is, sir. Dialing 911 right now.

Richard: Operator, send Dallas police to our estate immediately. My wife just attempted to murder my child.

Vanessa: You're insane, Richard! You'll pay for this slander!
