Justice In The Ballroom

The Maid Who Stopped The Ballroom Kick

The heavy double doors of the ballroom swung open, and four uniform police officers stepped into the room, accompanied by two agents from the state financial crimes unit.

Lead Officer: Arthur Vance?

Arthur: You have no right to enter my private residence! Do you know who I am?

Lead Officer: We have a warrant for your arrest issued by the state supreme court. Charges include grand larceny, document forgery, and wire fraud.

Victoria: Take your hands off him! You can't do this to us!

Lead Officer: Ma'am, step back or you will be charged with obstruction of justice.

Arthur Vance was placed in handcuffs in front of the entire elite class of the city. His prestige, his political connections, and his arrogance evaporated in a single moment as he was led away down the marble hallway.

Julian: I didn't know, Clara. I swear to you, I had no idea what my father was doing with Grandfather's will.

Clara: I know you didn't, Julian. That's why you're not in handcuffs right now. But you need to decide whose side you're really on.

Victoria: You monster! You took away our home! You took away our life!

Clara: No, Victoria. Your greed took it away. I am simply taking back what was always mine.

Clara untied the lace strings of her maid's apron, removed it calmly, and tossed it onto the polished marble floor at Victoria's feet.

Clara: Clean that up. You're getting in the way of my house.
