The Locked Room Key Hidden

The Rich Stepmother Locked The Baby Away For Money

Elena stood on the front porch of the massive Dallas estate with shaking hands.

She could hear soft crying coming from deep inside the grand house.

Her heart pounded heavily against her chest as she reached for the door handle.

The heavy oak entrance doors were locked tight against her frantic entry.

Elena: Open this door right now, Victoria!

She pounded her fist hard against the dark decorative wood paneling.

Inside the brightly lit living room, Victoria sat calmly on the plush sofa.

She swirled her glass of expensive red wine with total composure.

Victoria: You do not have permission to be on this property, Elena.

Elena: That is my baby crying inside your locked sunroom nursery!

Victoria lowered her glass and smiled with cold indifference.

Victoria: This house belongs to my husband, and you are trespassing today.

Elena pressed her face close against the tall glass side window pane.

She saw her small daughter crying inside the locked glass sunroom enclosure.

The infant sat near her favorite toys behind the double glass doors.

The heavy digital lock on the nursery door glowed red in the quiet room.

Elena: Why are you doing this to an innocent child, Victoria?

Victoria: Your rich biological father left his entire estate to his granddaughter.

Elena: So you locked her inside to force me to sign the trust papers?

Victoria: You will sign away the inheritance control if you want the key.

Elena pulled out her cell phone with trembling fingers.

Elena: I am calling the police department this very second.

Victoria: Go ahead and try, because my lawyers handle everything instantly.

Elena dialed nine one one as fast as she could manage.

She kept her eyes glued onto her crying little girl through the glass.

Elena: Please send emergency officers to forty four Maple Drive right now!

Dispatcher: Help is on the way, ma'am, stay on the line.

Victoria slowly stood up from the sofa and smoothed her sparkling dress.

She walked toward the glass window with a small silver key in hand.

Victoria: You have five minutes to sign before the lawyers arrive.

Elena: You will never get away with extortion, Victoria!

Siren sounds began echoing down the quiet tree-lined suburban street.

Victoria narrowed her eyes as the flashing red lights filled the driveway.
