The bright yellow frisbee spun across the soft green grass of Oak Creek Park, gleaming under the warm Texas sun. Eight-year-old Lily laughed, her pink puffer coat fluttering as her small boots chased after it. Her parents, Mark and Sarah, watched with warm smiles from the nearby picnic bench.

Sarah: Look at her go, Mark. She has so much energy today!

Mark: That frisbee was the best five bucks I ever spent. She’s been running non-stop for an hour.

Sarah: Just make sure she doesn't run too close to those thick bushes near the tree line.

Mark: She's fine, honey. She's right in front of us.

Suddenly, the peaceful atmosphere of the afternoon was shattered. A dark, powerful shape leaped across the grass at incredible speed. It was a massive German Shepherd wearing a heavy black tactical vest—a Texas K-9 police dog charging directly toward the little girl.

Lily: STOP!

The little girl froze in terror, holding her frisbee in front of her like a flimsy shield. But the dog didn't stop. With a sudden, explosive leap, the heavy animal launched itself through the air and slammed full-force into Lily's small frame.

Sarah: NO! NO!

Mark: MOVE THE DOG! CALL 911 RIGHT NOW!

Mark rushed forward, his heart hammering against his ribs in sheer panic. Before he could reach his daughter, a uniformed police officer slid onto the grass next to the animal, holding his arms out forcefully to block the parents.

Officer Miller: STAY BACK! THIS IS TEXAS POLICE!! STAY BACK!

Sarah: Get off her! He’s crushing my baby! What are you doing?!

Officer Miller: Do not step any closer, sir! Keep your hands where I can see them!

Mark: You tackled a little girl with a attack dog! Are you insane?! I'll sue this entire department!

Officer Miller: Look at the bush, sir. Look right behind her frisbee.

Mark halted in his tracks, his eyes shifting toward the edge of the dark foliage. Resting less than two feet from where Lily had been standing was a coiled, angry rattlesnake, its sharp tail rattling viciously in the fallen dry leaves.
