Victoria gasped loudly as the crying girl stopped directly in front of her.
Girl: Please don't separate us!
Victoria glared at the child with intense anger in her eyes.
Victoria: Get out of my wedding!
Victoria: How dare you bring your trash into my venue!
The little girl held the baby tighter to keep the infant safe and warm.
Girl: We just need help!
Victoria shouted at the top of her lungs and pointed toward the door.
She grabbed the girl's shoulder and shoved her backward with force.
The little girl stumbled off balance and fell down onto the hard white marble floor.
She squeezed the baby gently to protect him as they hit the ground.
The wedding guests gasped in shock at the sudden burst of mean cruelty.
Nobody in the crowd moved or said a word for a long uncomfortable second.
The little girl wiped her tear-filled eyes with her dusty sleeve.
She reached into her small pocket with trembling fingers.
She pulled out a small silver pendant photo and held it high in the air.
Girl: Mommy said you would remember us!
Her voice cracked with deep sadness as she held out the shiny silver locket.
Mark heard the noise from across the grand hall and sprinted forward immediately.
His shoes clicked loudly on the polished floor as he pushed through the shocked crowd.
He looked down at the floor and froze in complete silence.
The small silver pendant caught the bright daylight coming through the high mansion windows.
