Mark reached his crying daughter in just three long strides across the floor.
He bent down quickly and scooped Lily up into his arms securely.
Lily buried her small face directly into her father's dark navy suit coat.
Mark: Don't you ever lay a hand on my daughter!
Victoria jumped back in absolute shock when she recognized Mark's booming voice.
She quickly tried to smooth down the front of her expensive dress.
Victoria: Mark, darling, I did not hear you walk into the house!
Victoria: She was being completely disobedient and broke a valuable vase earlier.
Lily: I did not break anything, Daddy, I promise you.
Mark: Keep your mouth shut, Victoria, because I heard everything.
Mark held his daughter tightly, feeling her trembling body against his chest.
His face tightened with intense anger as he stepped toward his wife.
Mark: She is my daughter, and this entire estate belongs to her!
Victoria: You are letting a child lie to you right now, Mark!
Victoria: We are married, which means this property belongs to both of us.
Mark: You signed a strict prenuptial agreement before our wedding ceremony.
Mark: You have zero legal rights to this house or my money.
Victoria's face turned pale as she realized her plan was falling apart.
She stepped forward to grab Mark's arm to plead her case again.
Victoria: You cannot throw me out over a simple misunderstanding today!
Mark raised his free hand and pushed her arm away with force.
Victoria lost her footing on the slick floor and tumbled down awkwardly.
She landed on the hard marble surface right beside the formal table.
Several house staff members entered the grand hall after hearing the commotion.
They stood near the entrance doors, watching the dramatic scene unfold quietly.
Victoria looked around at the gathering staff with shame written across her face.
Victoria: Tell these servants to leave the room immediately, Mark!
Mark: They are staying right where they are to watch you leave.
Mark: I am calling my divorce lawyer and the local sheriff right now.
Victoria: You are making a huge mistake that you will regret forever!
Mark: The only mistake I made was bringing a monster into my home.
Lily looked up at her father with soft tears in her eye.
Lily: Is she going to hurt us anymore, Daddy?
Mark: No, sweetheart, nobody will ever hurt you in this house again.
Mark pulled his cell phone from his pocket without breaking eye contact.
He dialed his attorney while keeping a firm watch over his wife.
