The bright morning sun shone warmly over the quiet neighborhood in Dallas, Texas.
Mark adjusted his suit jacket as he walked toward the front entrance of his spacious suburban home.
His beautiful wife Sarah stood by the entryway with their one-year-old baby girl named Lily.
Their tiny white Chihuahua dog stood right beside Lily, wagging its tail with great enthusiasm.
A framed American flag hung proudly on the clean white wall behind the happy family.
Mark felt extremely blessed to have such a wonderful home and family in his life.
He checked his watch and realized he had to head out for an important business presentation.
Mark smiled warmly at his wife and moved closer to give her a gentle kiss.
Sarah smiled back at him as she held their baby tight in her arms.
Mark: I have a really big meeting at the office this morning, Sarah.
Sarah: I know, honey, and you are going to do absolutely great.
Mark: Thanks, babe, that really means a lot to me right now.
Little Lily suddenly reached out her tiny hands and pointed toward her father with a big smile.
Baby Lily: Papa, kiss me!
Mark melted instantly when he heard his baby girl speak those cute words.
He leaned down carefully and placed a sweet, gentle kiss right on her forehead.
Lily giggled softly, her tiny face lighting up with pure joy and happiness.
Then the little girl pointed down toward the small white dog resting near her feet.
Baby Lily: Doggy too!
Mark: Well, I certainly cannot leave anyone out of our morning routine!
Mark knelt down on the wooden floor and gently kissed the top of the dog's head.
The Chihuahua let out a happy little bark and licked Mark right on his chin.
Sarah laughed out loud at the sweet moment between her husband and their pet.
Sarah: You are the best father in the whole wide world, Mark.
Mark: I just love all of you so much.
Mark stood up, straightened his tie, and waved a final goodbye to his smiling family.
He stepped outside onto the front porch, pulling the front door closed softly behind him.
The morning air felt cool and refreshing against his face as he walked to his car.
He reached into his pocket to grab his car keys, but his hand hit something unexpected.
He pulled out a folded piece of paper that he had never seen inside his coat before.
Mark paused near his driveway, slowly unfolding the strange note with deep confusion.
