A Girl Discovers The Hidden Trapdoor In Dallas Home

High heels clacked loudly across the polished hard floors from the large formal dining room.

Victoria walked into the sunlit foyer carrying a black leather purse in her hand.

She froze in her tracks when she saw Mia kneeling beside the exposed floor seam.

Victoria: What are you doing on the floor, Mia?

Mia: I heard my mom down there, Victoria!

Victoria's face flushed bright red with sudden cold fury and deep panic.

She stepped forward abruptly with giant fast strides toward the young frightened girl.

Victoria: You keep your mouth shut about things you do not understand!

Mia: You locked her in the basement floor, didn't you!

Victoria: I said be quiet right now, you foolish brat!

Victoria grabbed Mia's wrist firmly and pulled her away from the square trapdoor panel.

Mia struggled against the tight grip while screaming for help as loud as possible.

Mia: Somebody help us! My mom is trapped under the floor tiles!

Victoria: Nobody can hear you in this big house, so stop yelling!

Victoria pushed Mia onto the soft leather sofa near the front doorway entry.

She pointed her finger aggressively at the crying ten-year-old child's red face.

Victoria: You will go upstairs to your bedroom right now and lock the door!

Mia: I am not going anywhere until my mom is saved!

Victoria: If you say another word, you will lose everything in this house!

Victoria reached down to pull the heavy rug back over the floor seam quickly.

Mia saw her stepmother trying to cover up the hidden metallic hatch once again.

She slid off the leather couch and tried to block Victoria's fast movement.

Mia: You are a terrible person for doing this to my family!

Victoria: Your mother signed over her rights and left us forever!

Mia: That is a giant lie and you know it!

Victoria raised her hand in anger to frighten Mia into silence immediately.

She glared down at the child with sharp eyes full of greed and spite.

Mia stood her ground despite her small frame shaking from intense fear.

She knew that her mother's life depended on her staying in that foyer.

Suddenly the sharp ring of the front doorbell echoed through the tall hallway ceiling.

Victoria stopped in her tracks and adjusted her fancy dark jacket nervously.

She shot a harsh warning glare at Mia before moving toward the front glass door.
