Richard moved across the shiny white marble floor with fast powerful strides.
He placed his tall body between Victoria and the frightened young waitress.
His jaw tight with anger, he stared straight into Victoria's panicking eyes.
Richard: Take your hands off her right now, Victoria!
Victoria: Richard, this clumsy maid is ruining our family gathering!
Richard: She is not a maid, you evil scheming liar!
Victoria: What are you talking about right now?
Richard: She is my missing wife and their true biological mother!
Clara gasped loudly and dropped the piece of broken plate onto the floor.
She looked up into Richard's handsome face with wide bewildered green eyes.
A sudden shock of sharp memories rushed through her mind like lightning.
She remembered a warm smile, a silver wedding ring, and a happy home.
Clara: Richard? Is that really your name?
Richard: Yes, my sweet darling, I have searched everywhere for you!
The three toddlers reached their small arms out toward Clara simultaneously.
Toddler: Mama! Mama!
Richard dropped down to his knees on the cold white marble floor.
He took Clara's trembling hands softly into his strong warm palms.
Richard: You disappeared three years ago after that terrible car accident.
Clara: I woke up in a clinic with no memory.
Richard: Victoria told me that you had left the country forever!
Victoria turned pale as all the blood drained from her tight face.
She stepped back slowly toward the high glass doors of the patio.
Victoria: This is a complete mistake, Richard, she looks like a stranger!
Richard: I know my own wife's eyes better than my own life!
Victoria: You are letting your grief trick your mind!
Richard: I signed a massive trust fund over to you last year!
Victoria: That was for the estate management fees!
Richard: You hid her identity so you could steal her legal inheritance!
Richard stood up tall and towered over Victoria with dark fiery eyes.
He pulled out his smartphone and tapped the screen to start a recording.
Richard: The private investigators just sent me the full security report.
Victoria: That report means absolutely nothing in court!
Richard: It proves you paid the local clinic to hide her identity!
Victoria tried to turn around and run toward the grand front exit.
Two tall security guards stepped out from the hallway and blocked her path.
Richard: You are not escaping your justice today, Victoria.
