A Rich Dallas Heiress Kicked A Beggar Out, Until A Broken Gold Watch Showed The Truth

The scorching afternoon sun beat down on the sprawling estate in Dallas, Texas. High marble pillars cast long shadows across the polished driveway, where Victoria stood with her hands on her hips, her eyes flashing with pure rage. In front of her, an elderly woman in a faded grey coat shivered despite the heat, holding tightly to a crying little girl.

Victoria: Get this filthy beggar out of my estate! You are nothing! You don't belong in my world!

Evelyn: Please, madam... I only came to see the child one last time! Just five minutes, that's all I ask!

Victoria: You don't get to ask for anything! Security, drag them to the gates right now!

Evelyn: You don't understand what you're doing. Look at her! Look at her face!

Victoria: I don't care about your sob story. Get off my property before I have you arrested for trespassing!

Evelyn's hands trembled as the security guard stepped forward. Desperate, her fingers scrambled inside her coat pocket, pulling out a heavy, vintage gold pocket watch attached to a worn brass chain.

Evelyn: Wait! Just look at this! Please, just look at what's inside!

In her haste, the watch slipped from her trembling fingers. It struck the hard marble floor with a sharp metallic chime and snapped open, lying flat between them. Victoria glanced down with disgust, ready to crush it under her designer heel, but her breath hitched instantly. Inside the open lid were two black-and-white portraits, clearly visible under the bright Texas daylight.

Victoria: No... that's impossible! My baby died twenty years ago!

Evelyn: She didn't die, Victoria. She was taken... to save her life from your family.

Victoria's face drained of all color as she stared at the young child in the photograph, possessing the exact facial structure, eye shape, and birthmark as the little girl standing right beside the old woman.

Victoria: Who are you? Who sent you here with this?

Evelyn: I'm the woman who raised your daughter while you believed she was in a grave.
