Clara: Have you lost your mind, Mark? He stole your father's personal belongings out of the safe! He's a fugitive!
Mark: He didn't steal them. He protected them from you.
Mark walked right up to the mahogany desk and slammed the thick stack of documents and the wax-sealed envelope down directly on top of the contract Clara was about to sign.
Arthur: What is the meaning of this? What are these papers?
Mark: That is the final, legally binding will of my father, signed and notarized at the hospital three days before he died. The one you convenient forgot to mention, Arthur.
Clara’s face went completely pale, all the color draining from her cheeks in an instant. Her hand trembled slightly as she pulled the silver pen back.
Clara: That... that’s a fake. Your father was not of sound mind during his last week! He couldn't sign anything!
Richard: The hospital attending physician and two independent nurses signed as official witnesses, Clara. There’s a video recording of the signing stored in the hospital’s legal archive. Did you forget about the hospital’s mandatory policy for late estate updates?
Arthur: Clara... is this true? Was there an updated directive signed at the medical center?
Clara: Arthur, do something! You're my attorney!
