The Truth on the Screen

Locked Out of the Dallas Mansion

Mark held Sophie tightly against his chest, his knuckles turning white as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his smartphone[span_15](start_span)[span_15](end_span). His thumb hovered over the screen, his entire body shaking with rage[span_16](start_span)[span_16](end_span).

Victoria: Mark, put the phone down! Don't you dare call the police on me!

Mark: Get out of my sight before I physically throw you out of this house.

Victoria: You can't talk to me like that! I'm your wife!

Mark: You hit my employee and you starved my baby! You are nothing to me!

Maria: Mr. Mark... please, she made me keep quiet all morning...

Mark: Maria, are you alright? Go sit down. You don't have to take her abuse anymore.

Victoria: She's a hired maid, Mark! She does what I tell her to do!

Mark: She's a human being! And you just assaulted her on camera!

Victoria: That camera is illegal! You didn't tell me you installed it!

Mark: It’s my house, Victoria! Built with my money long before I ever signed a marriage contract with you!

Victoria: We are married! Half of this property belongs to me under Texas law!

Mark: We signed a prenuptial agreement, Victoria. Did you forget that so quickly?

Victoria gasped, stepping back as Mark pulled up the security app feed on his mobile phone screen. The footage clearly showed the morning events in high definition.

Mark: Look at this. Look at what you did at eight o'clock this morning.

Victoria: Delete that video right now, Mark!

Mark: You entered the keycode, locked the main fridge, and pulled the pantry door shut locked.

Sophie: Daddy, tummy hurts...

Mark: Hang on, baby girl. Maria, please get Sophie some fresh fruit and water from the lower counter.

Maria: Yes, sir. Right away.

Victoria: Maria, don't you dare touch anything in this kitchen!

Mark: Ignore her, Maria! Step anywhere near her, Victoria, and I won't wait for the police to haul you out.

Victoria: You're going to ruin our reputation over a dramatic toddler and a clumsy maid?

Mark: Reputation? You locked a baby out of the refrigerator for six straight hours!

Victoria: I was trying to teach her discipline! She needs to learn rules!

Mark: She is two years old! You don't discipline a toddler with starvation!

Victoria: She isn't even my child! Why should I have to spend my morning taking care of your baggage?

Mark: Baggage? You called my daughter baggage?

Victoria: That's what she is! A reminder of your ex-wife!

Mark: My late wife, Victoria! She passed away giving birth to Sophie!

Victoria: And now I'm stuck playing stepmother to a child that isn't mine!

Mark: You won't have to play stepmother ever again. Pack your bags.
