Dragged Out

My Stepmother Tried to Poison My Father for Inheritance

Victoria turned around and tried to bolt toward the heavy front door, but David moved faster. He crossed the foyer in two long strides and grabbed her firmly by the arm.

Victoria: NO, NO, SHE'S LYING! LET GO OF ME!

David: You are not setting foot in this house for another second!

He dragged her firmly across the wide entrance floor while she thrashed, screamed, and clawed frantically at his arms, her high heels scraping loudly against the marble.

Victoria: You're making a huge mistake, David! You can't do this to me! I am your wife!

David: You are a criminal who tried to murder me for a payout!

Lily: Get her out of our house, Daddy!

David yanked open the heavy double front doors, pushing Victoria out onto the wide stone porch under the bright Texas afternoon sky.

Victoria: Please! Think about my reputation! Think about what the news will say!

David: YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO FEDERAL PRISON! CALL 911 NOW!

Victoria stumbled backward on the stone steps, tripping over her heels and landing hard on the ground outside. Her beige suit was covered in dirt, her hair wild and messy as she looked up in complete desperation.

David: If you try to come back up these steps before the police arrive, I will use necessary force to protect my daughter!

Victoria: David, don't do this! I beg you!

David slammed the heavy front doors shut with a deafening thud, turning the deadbolt and locking her out completely.

He stood against the solid wood, his chest heaving as heavy silence descended back over the grand hallway.
