The cool Texas breeze rushed into the opulent foyer, carrying the unmistakable hum of idling law enforcement vehicles stationed right outside the massive double doors. Marcus stood at the threshold, holding a struggling Victoria by the arm with an unyielding grip that signaled the absolute end of her reign of terror. Outside, curious onlookers and estate staff whispered among themselves, watching the once-untouchable socialite get dragged out into the harsh afternoon light.
Victoria: Let go of me in front of these people! Have you lost your mind, Marcus?!
Marcus: My mind has never been clearer. Keep walking.
Marcus forced her down the first few marble steps, ignoring the way her expensive heels clicked wildly against the stone as she stumbled.
Victoria: You're making a massive mistake! I have rights! I demand a phone call!
Federal Agent: You'll get all the phone calls you want down at the station, Ms. Vance.
Two federal officers stepped forward to intercept them at the bottom of the steps, their badges gleaming in the bright sunlight as they took over custody. Victoria pulled her arm away, trying to maintain a shred of her former dignity while smoothing down the wrinkled fabric of her green gown.
Victoria: Don't touch me! I will cooperate, just stop pulling!
Federal Agent: Victoria Vance, you are under arrest for child endangerment, kidnapping conspiracy, and wire fraud. Turn around and put your hands behind your back.
The heavy click of steel handcuffs snapping into place shattered whatever illusions Victoria had left about her power and influence.
Victoria: This is insane! Marcus, tell them to take these off me right now!
Marcus stood at the top of the steps, looking down at her with a cold, expressionless gaze that offered zero comfort.
Marcus: You are going straight to federal prison, Victoria. Enjoy your new home.
Victoria: You'll pay for this, Marcus! I swear I'll ruin you from the inside!
The federal agents guided her firmly toward the back of the waiting cruiser, opening the door and pushing her inside before shutting it tight.
Elena: Is she really gone?
Elena walked out onto the landing behind Marcus, holding her baby safely against her shoulder as she watched the cruiser drive away.
Marcus: She's gone. And she's never coming back near this family again.
Elena let out a long, shuddering breath, the tension of the past few months finally melting away from her shoulders as the reality of safety set in.
Elena: Thank you, Marcus. For everything. I thought I lost him forever.
Marcus turned around, his expression softening as he looked at the woman and child he had almost lost to a monster's greed.
Marcus: You never have to worry about that again. We're going to fix everything she broke.
