The Lies Inside The Mansion

The Disowned Daughter Who Inherited Everything From Her Father

The bright sun shone through the tall front windows of the grand Texas mansion.

Lily stood in the center of the giant white marble foyer while holding her small blue suitcase.

Her hands trembled as she looked up at the expensive framed artwork hanging on the high wall.

Victoria walked down the wide curved staircase with a cold smile on her face.

She wore an expensive beige satin dress that swept across the clean floor.

Victoria: Why are you still standing in my hallway, little girl?

Lily: My father said I could stay here as long as I needed to.

Victoria: Your father is not here to protect you from the real world anymore.

Lily wiped a tear from her soft cheek and held her breath.

She remembered the day her father had left for a sudden business trip across the country.

He had promised to return before the weekend started.

Lily: My dad left strict orders with the family lawyer about my legal living trust.

Victoria: Those legal documents do not matter to me at all anymore.

Victoria pointed her long finger directly toward the huge wooden front entrance doors.

Victoria: You are not part of this family, and you never will be!

Lily took a small step back toward the center of the room.

She could hear the household staff whispering behind the kitchen doorway.

Nobody dared to stand up against Victoria when her temper flared.

Lily: You lied to my father about the business records, Victoria!

Victoria: Mind your tone when you speak to the owner of this house!

Victoria raised her hand and pointed aggressively toward the exit door.

Victoria: Get out of my sight before I call security to drag you away!

Lily felt her heart pounding fast inside her small chest.

She had lived in this house since she was a small child.

Her mother's memory lived inside these bright and sunny rooms.

Lily: You cannot break the legal will that my father signed last year.

Victoria: That legal document has already been updated by my private legal team.

Victoria laughed softly as she stepped closer to the young girl.

She pulled a stack of heavy white papers out from her leather purse.

Victoria: Look at these updated documents if you do not believe me.

Lily stared at the papers with growing horror in her eyes.

She saw her father's signature at the bottom of the long page.

It looked real, but something about the ink felt completely wrong.

Lily: This signature is a fake, and you know it!

Victoria: Nobody in this town will take your word over mine.

Victoria tossed the heavy papers onto the floor near Lily's shoes.

The pages scattered across the bright white marble surface.

Victoria: Pick up your trash and leave before I call the sheriff.

Lily knelt down to gather the white pages with shaking hands.

She knew she needed to find proof before it was too late.

Her father's life work was being stolen right in front of her.

Suddenly, the heavy metal locks on the double front doors rattled loudly.

Both women turned their heads toward the bright entrance hall.

A shadow appeared behind the frosted glass panels of the entrance.
