Richard: You paid those doctors to falsify her progress! This whole thing is a planned performance!
Lily: The only fake thing in this room is your loyalty to our family, Richard!
Homeless Man: Show them the back of the ledger, Lily. Read the handwriting out loud to everyone present.
Lily: "In the event of my death or disappearance, all corporate assets transfer immediately to my daughter, Lily Vance, under the direct guardianship of the state trust trustee."
Richard: That document hasn't been verified by a handwriting expert!
Homeless Man: The notary seal on page four is certified by the State of Texas, signed by your own former corporate attorney before you fired him!
Richard: You think a piece of paper destroys my position in this city?
Lily: It doesn't just destroy your position, Uncle. It destroys your entire life.
Richard: I built this foundation! I raised millions of dollars for local charities while he was sleeping under bridges!
Homeless Man: You stole forty percent of every public donation to cover your personal gambling debts in Las Vegas!
Woman Donor: What?! Our donation checks were being embezzled?!
Richard: Don't listen to him! He has no proof of financial misconduct!
Homeless Man: The forensic audit is already sitting on the desk of the District Attorney. I dropped it off two hours ago before I walked into this hall.
The heavy entrance doors swung open a second time, but this time four uniformed police officers from the Dallas Police Department walked briskly inside, their heavy boots echoing against the marble tiles.
Police Officer: Richard Vance?
Richard: Officers, thank goodness you're here! Arrest this homeless man for trespassing and disturbing the peace!
Police Officer: We aren't here for him, Mr. Vance. We have a federal warrant for your arrest regarding grand larceny, wire fraud, and falsifying corporate records.
Richard: What?! This is an outrage! You can't put handcuffs on me in front of these people!
Police Officer: Turn around and place your hands behind your back, sir. You have the right to remain silent.
Lily: Enjoy your stay in holding, Uncle. I’ll make sure our family’s legal team files for full restitution tomorrow morning.
Richard: Lily, please! Talk to them! We can fix this inside the office!
Lily: You had six years to fix things, Richard. Now you get to face justice.
Homeless Man: Take him away, officers. He’s done enough damage to this family.
The crowd broke into loud applause and cheers as the police officers snapped metal handcuffs around Richard’s wrists and led him out of the grand hall in utter shame.
