Liam: What did you just say to me?
Elena: You heard me clearly, Mr. Vance. Fourteen qualified nannies packed their bags and walked out that private elevator door.
Liam: Because they were incompetent! They couldn't handle a simple toddler's tantrum!
Elena: No, they couldn't handle your screaming. They couldn't handle the atmosphere in this house.
Liam: I pay top dollar! I offered fifty dollars an hour, full medical benefits, and paid vacation!
Elena: Money cannot buy patience. And it certainly cannot buy a child's love.
Liam: I don't pay people to give love. I pay them to enforce rules and maintain order!
Elena: He is a toddler, not a corporate asset in your hedge fund.
Liam: Lower your voice in my home! You are a maid from an agency!
Elena: I am a mother. And I know the sound of a broken heart when I hear one.
Liam: His heart is fine! He lives in a forty-million-dollar duplex overlooking Central Park!
Elena: He is crying until his face turns red every single evening. Does that look fine to you?
Leo: Elena... don't go away like the other ladies.
Elena: I am right here, Leo. I am holding you tight. Nobody is going anywhere.
Liam: Get up off that floor right now and sweep up that broken crystal glass!
Elena: I will sweep the glass when the child is calm and safely out of harm's way.
Liam: You take orders from me! I run a billion-dollar investment firm!
Elena: Then go run your firm and let me do the job you failed to do today.
Liam: You have ten seconds to apologize for that insolent remark.
Elena: I will not apologize for protecting your son from your temper.
Liam: That is it. You are terminated. Pack your things and hand over your keycard.
Elena: Go ahead and call the agency. Tell them why you fired the only person Leo trusts.
Liam: I don't need to explain myself to a temporary cleaning worker!
Elena: Then pick up your phone. Dial the number. I will wait right here.
Liam: You think I'm bluffing?
Elena: I know you're afraid, Mr. Vance. That's why you yell so loud.
