The Tables Turn

The Maid Who Saved the Billionaire's Son

Police Officer: Ms. Vance, I'm going to need you to step over here right now.

Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you know who my father is?! He owns half this city's legal firms!

Richard: Victoria, keep your mouth shut immediately! Don't say another word!

Arthur: It's too late for legal advice, Richard. Not only is your daughter being charged with filing a false police report, but my legal team has just filed a twenty-million-dollar defamation lawsuit against the Vance Law Firm.

Victoria: Arthur, please! We can talk about this! I was just hurt because you broke off the engagement! I did it out of love for you!

Elena: You didn't do it out of love. You did it out of cruelty because you thought you could crush anyone who stood up to you.

Victoria glared at Elena with pure venom, but the officer firmly pulled her hands behind her back, clicking silver handcuffs around her wrists.

Police Officer: Victoria Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny fraud, making false statements to law enforcement, and attempted extortion. You have the right to remain silent.

The wealthy heiress wept hysterically as she was guided down the stone steps into the back of a police cruiser, her high-society status dissolving in a matter of seconds before the eyes of the gathered reporters and estate staff.

Richard Vance slumped his shoulders, looking defeated and aged as he hastily got back into his luxury sedan and sped away, leaving behind the shattered remnants of his family's reputation.

Arthur: Thank you, Officers. My legal team will provide the full encrypted digital drive at the police station within the hour.

As the police vehicles drove down the long estate driveway, the quiet calm returned to the Dallas mansion. Elena let out a long breath she felt like she had been holding for two straight days.

Arthur: It's over, Elena. You're completely cleared of all charges.

Elena: Thank you, Mr. Sterling. I don't know how to repay you for standing up for me like that.

Arthur: You don't owe me anything. You taught me a valuable lesson about who I allow into my home and near my son.

The heavy oak front door opened slightly, and little Leo peeked his head out, looking around the porch with bright, curious eyes.

Leo: Is the mean lady gone forever now, Daddy?

Arthur walked over, picking his son up in his arms and smiling warmly as he looked over at Elena.

Arthur: Yes, buddy. She's gone forever. And Miss Elena is staying with us for good.
