Justice Served Cold

The Maid Who Saved the Dallas Billionaire

Within fifteen minutes, the red and blue flashes of police cruisers illuminated the long driveway of the Sterling estate. High-society guests stood outside near their luxury cars, whispering and filming on their phones as Dallas police officers escorted Victoria and Julian out of the front entrance in handcuffs.

Victoria kept her head down, her wrists bound in steel, as news cameras—already tipped off by local scanners—began flashing through the iron gates.

Victoria: Get those cameras out of my face!

Officer: Watch your head, ma'am. Get in the car.

Julian offered no resistance, crying silently as he was shoved into the back of a second patrol unit. The heavy doors slammed shut, signaling the complete downfall of two people who had almost stolen an empire.

Inside the grand foyer, Arthur sat on the velvet sofa, looking exhausted as his legal team arrived to secure his documents and assets. Elena stood near the doorway, holding her apron in her hands, preparing to pack her things and leave.

Arthur: Where are you going, Elena?

Elena: My shift is over, sir. And... I suppose you don't need me around after all this chaos.

Arthur: Sit down, please.

Elena hesitated before taking a seat on the chair across from the billionaire. A moment later, the side door opened, and Marcus walked in, accompanied by a young man holding a bandage to his forehead—Elena's brother, Mateo.

Elena: Mateo!

Elena sprang from her seat and threw her arms around her brother, tears streaming down her face as she held him tightly.

Mateo: I'm okay, Elena... Mr. Sterling's team got to the warehouse just in time.

Arthur: I owe you both an apology. My family put you in unimaginable danger.

Mateo: You didn't know, Mr. Sterling. They were going to wipe out your accounts and frame me for the security breach.

Arthur: They failed. And now, they will spend the next twenty years behind bars.

Arthur stood up, walking over to his desk to retrieve a signed document and a leather binder. He presented it directly to Elena.

Arthur: You saved my life tonight, Elena. A maid's salary doesn't cover taking a bullet for a billionaire.

Elena: I didn't do it for money, sir. I did it because it was right.

Arthur: I know. That's why I'm appointing you as the head administrator of my charitable foundation, with a full estate salary and paid medical coverage for your entire family.

Elena: Mr. Sterling... I can't accept that!

Arthur: You can, and you will. As for Mateo, my corporate security team needs honest people who notice details. The job is his if he wants it.
