A Boy's Choice

The Maid's Son and the Billionaire's Secret

Richard: Sarah, step away from the boy. You knew this day would come when you agreed to let us handle his future.

Sarah: I never agreed to let you take my son, Richard. I agreed to work here so I could keep him fed!

Richard: Look around you. Look at this house, the trust fund waiting for him, the education he will receive. You work as a maid in my house, earning minimum wage. What can you possibly offer him compared to what I have?

Sarah: I offer him love! I offer him honesty! Things you couldn't buy with all the money in your bank accounts.

Clara: Sarah, please be reasonable. You're making a scene in front of our most important investors and family friends. Think about what is best for Leo.

Sarah: What's best for Leo is being with the mother who raised him, not a family that tried to pay me to disappear seven years ago!

The guests murmured loudly, trading shocked glances as Richard's face flushed with anger. He took another step forward, his voice lowering to a harsh whisper.

Richard: Keep your voice down, Sarah. We had an arrangement. You were supposed to keep quiet and let the adoption go through smoothly.

Leo: I don't want to be adopted! I don't want your house, mister!

Richard: Leo, I am your father. It's time you learned to show some respect.

Leo: My mom taught me respect, but you never taught anyone anything! You just yell and give orders!

Evelyn: Richard, maybe we should take this into the study. The guests are watching.

Richard: No. This ends right now. Sarah, hand the boy over to Clara and get back to the kitchen before I fire you on the spot.

Sarah: Fire me, then! Fire me right now! Do you think I care about this job anymore? I stayed in this mansion working sixteen-hour days just to stay close to my child while you tried to hide him from the world.

Richard: You signed the contract, Sarah. Don't forget that. My legal team made sure every clause was tight. You have no legal rights here.

Sarah: That contract was signed under duress when you threatened to destroy my family! But you forgot one tiny detail, Richard.

Richard: Details don't matter in court. Power does. And I have the best lawyers in the state.

Sarah: Then maybe your lawyers should have read the late patriarch's last will and testament more carefully before he passed away last month.

Richard froze, his eyes narrowing as a sudden chill filled the room. The crowd fell silent, waiting for Sarah's next words.

Richard: What are you talking about? My father's will was finalized weeks ago. I am the sole executor of the Vance estate.

Sarah: Your father knew what you did to me, Richard. He knew how you forced me into hiding when I got pregnant. And before he died, he made sure justice would be served.

Richard: You're lying. My father wouldn't leave a single penny to a maid.

Sarah: He didn't leave it to me. He left it all to Leo.
