The Price of Greed

The Nanny's Lie Exposed in Dallas

Marcus: I have you on camera entering the security hub at two o'clock today, Victoria. I have your voice recorded instructions to Maria giving her the jammer.

Victoria: Marcus... please. We are brother and sister. We share the same blood!

Evelyn: Blood didn't stop you from trying to take a baby away from his mother.

Victoria: Evelyn, stay out of this! Marcus, listen to me. I was desperate! My husband's business failed, we are facing foreclosure, and the bank is taking our house next month!

Marcus: You should have come to me and asked for help. Instead, you tried to destroy my marriage and frame my wife.

Victoria: I knew you would say no! You always judge me!

Marcus: Because you do things like this! You think money solves every moral problem you have!

Maria: Mr. Vance, please... I only did it because she promised to pay off my mother's medical bills! I'm sorry!

Evelyn: You almost ruined my life, Maria. You tried to make my husband think I was a child abuser.

Maria: I know... I know! I'm so sorry, Mrs. Vance!

Marcus: The police officers are waiting outside the front gates right now.

Victoria: The police?! Marcus, you can't arrest your own sister! Think of the press! Think of the family name!

Marcus: The family name is already tarnished because of you. I am filing a full criminal complaint for extortion, conspiracy, and illegal wiretapping.

Victoria: You wouldn't dare!

Marcus: Watch me.

Marcus pressed the intercom button on his desk.

Marcus: Arthur, let the police through the gates. Escort both of these women out of my house.

Victoria: Marcus! Don't do this! Evelyn, tell him to stop! Please!

Evelyn turned her back on Victoria, holding her son tightly against her chest as the heavy office doors swung open and the police officers walked in.

Police Officer: Victoria Vance and Maria Santos? You are both under arrest. Hands behind your backs.

Victoria screamed and cursed as the handcuffs clicked tightly around her wrists, but Marcus didn't even look up as she was dragged down the marble hallway.
