Sarah: It wasn't supposed to happen like this. It was an accident, Daniel[span_98](start_span)[span_98](end_span)!
Daniel: An accident?! There is a hidden chamber behind our daughter's bed[span_99](start_span)[span_99](end_span)!
Sarah: Her brother... Arthur... he was deep in debt. He needed the inheritance to pay off loan sharks[span_100](start_span)[span_100](end_span).
Daniel: The previous owner? Arthur Vance?[span_101](start_span)[span_101](end_span)
Sarah: Yes! He forged the property transfer documents, but Clara found out[span_102](start_span)[span_102](end_span). She came to the house to confront him the night before the sale went through[span_103](start_span)[span_103](end_span).
Daniel: And where were you?[span_104](start_span)[span_104](end_span)
Sarah: I was in the office downstairs finalizing the deed! I heard them arguing upstairs[span_105](start_span)[span_105](end_span). I ran up, and... she was lying on the floor. She wasn't moving[span_106](start_span)[span_106](end_span).
Daniel: Why didn't you call 911?! Why didn't you call the police?[span_107](start_span)[span_107](end_span)!
Sarah: Arthur threatened me! He said if I called the police, he would tell them I helped him forge the mortgage documents! I would have gone to prison for life! I would have lost you and Lily[span_108](start_span)[span_108](end_span)!
Daniel: So you helped him hide her body inside the wall?[span_109](start_span)[span_109](end_span)!
Sarah: He did it himself! He built the false frame and sealed it! I just... I kept quiet. He paid off my student loans and cleared my debts[span_110](start_span)[span_110](end_span). He promised no one would ever buy the house, that it would sit empty[span_111](start_span)[span_111](end_span).
Daniel: But then he died of a heart attack six months ago, and the bank put the house up for foreclosure[span_112](start_span)[span_112](end_span). And you made sure we bought it so no stranger would ever smash that wall[span_113](start_span)[span_113](end_span).
Sarah: I wanted to protect us! I brought us here so I could keep an eye on it, so I could eventually take her out safely when you were away on business[span_114](start_span)[span_114](end_span)!
Daniel: You put our little girl in a bedroom with a murdered woman behind the wall[span_115](start_span)[span_115](end_span)!
