Victoria: This is a ridiculous setup! You hired this fake maid to ruin my reputation in front of my high-society friends!
Ethan: I didn't hire her, Victoria. You hired her through the placement agency three months ago!
Victoria: It was a random staffing company! How could I possibly know who she was?!
Ethan: That is exactly what I intend to find out right now.
Ethan pulled his cell phone from his suit pocket and dialed his corporate lawyer, Arthur Pendelton.
Ethan: Arthur, I need you at the Dallas estate immediately. Bring my father's original trust fund documents.
Arthur: Ethan? What is going on? Is there a problem at the gala?
Ethan: We found Chloe. She has been working as a maid in our house under Victoria's orders.
Arthur: What?! Chloe is alive? Are you certain about this?
Ethan: She has the 1922 silver peace dollar coin locket. The one with the dual initials and custom rim engraving.
Arthur: My lord... I will be there in ten minutes. Do not let Victoria leave the premises.
Ethan hung up the phone and looked back at Victoria, whose face was dripping with cold sweat.
Victoria: Arthur doesn't know what he is talking about! He is an old man who lost his edge years ago!
Ethan: Arthur was my father's most trusted legal counselor for thirty years. He managed the entire Vance estate trust fund.
Lily: Mr. Vance... Ethan... is it true? Was I really born in this house?
Ethan: Yes, Chloe. You were born in the east wing of this very mansion. You slept in the nursery overlooking the rose garden.
Lily: I remember rose bushes... I used to dream about red flowers through a window when I was little.
Victoria: She is guessing! Anyone can guess there are roses in Texas!
Ethan: Why are you shaking so hard, Victoria? What are you afraid of?
Victoria: I am not afraid of anything! I am offended that you accuse me of such vile schemes!
Ethan: Then explain why the agency sent Lily specifically to this estate without a background check!
Victoria: I told them I needed cheap labor quickly for the spring gala season!
Lily: When I applied at the agency, the manager told me a wealthy woman personally requested a girl with no living family.
Ethan: Did you hear that, everyone? Victoria requested an orphan with no family to protect her!
Victoria: That is a complete misinterpretation of my hiring preferences! I wanted someone dedicated who had no outside distractions!
Ethan: You wanted someone you could hide in the basement kitchen where no relative would ever come looking!
Lily: Every time guests came over, she forced me to stay in the back pantry... tonight was the first time I was allowed upstairs because a waiter called in sick.
Ethan: You kept my sister hidden in the dark so she would never see her own family portrait in the foyer!
Victoria: She is an impostor trying to steal fifty million dollars from my late husband's trust!
Ethan: My father's will clearly stated that if Chloe was ever found alive, fifty percent of the estate immediately reverts to her trust fund!
Victoria: That clause expired ten years after his death!
Ethan: No, Victoria. That clause has no expiration date. And you knew it all along.
