Daniel carefully moved the broken pieces away from Emily.
Daniel: “Nobody touches that cup.”
Victoria crossed her arms.
Victoria: “You're acting like I tried to hurt her.”
Daniel: “Then explain why Claire warned her before she drank it.”
Victoria looked at Claire.
Victoria: “She has always hated me.”
Claire shook her head.
Claire: “This isn't about hatred.”
Daniel turned toward her.
Daniel: “Then tell me what you know.”
Claire pointed toward the kitchen.
Claire: “I saw Victoria preparing the tea earlier.”
Victoria: “So what?”
Claire: “She took something from a locked cabinet.”
The room became silent.
Daniel's expression hardened.
Daniel: “What was inside that cabinet?”
Victoria said nothing.
Daniel called for the household security officer.
Daniel: “Bring the security footage from the kitchen.”
Minutes later, the recording appeared on a nearby screen.
Everyone watched as Victoria entered the kitchen alone.
She opened the cabinet.
She removed a small container.
Then she prepared the tea.
Victoria immediately looked frightened.
Victoria: “That doesn't prove anything.”
Daniel: “It proves you lied.”
Claire looked at Emily, who was slowly recovering.
Claire: “There is something else you need to know.”
Daniel turned toward her.
Claire: “That container wasn't supposed to be in the kitchen.”
