Sarah: Sweetheart, hold still for just one second. We're going to be late for preschool if we don't get these sneakers on right now.
Leo: Mamma, no!
Sarah: What do you mean, no? Look at your shoe. The lace is all tangled up, Leo. Just let Mommy tie it real quick.
Leo: Papa, you!
Mark: What’s going on down there, buddy? Is Mommy not doing it fast enough for you?
Sarah: Mark, he literally pushed my hands away. He won't let me touch his shoes today. I don't know what got into him.
Mark: Hey, chief, what’s the matter? Mommy’s trying to help you out.
Leo: Papa tie! Only Papa!
Sarah: Leo, honey, Daddy’s running late for his meeting at the firm. Let Mommy do it so Daddy can grab his coat.
Leo: No! Mamma hands hurt! Papa tie!
Mark: Wait, what did he just say?
Sarah: I... I don't know. He's just making up excuses because he wants you to do it.
Mark: Sarah, look at me. Why did he say your hands hurt?
Sarah: Mark, please, it's nothing. He's three years old. You know how toddlers say random things when they want attention.
Mark: He pointed right at your wrists, Sarah. Why are you wearing long sleeves inside a heated house?
Sarah: It’s just chilly in the foyer, okay? Just tie his shoe so we can leave.
Leo: Papa, look! Mamma cry last night! Bad man hurt Mamma hands!
Mark: Bad man? Sarah, what is he talking about? Who was in this house last night?
Sarah: Nobody, Mark! He had a nightmare, that’s all!
Mark: Pull up your sleeves, Sarah. Pull them up right now.
