Victoria Vance: Police? You actually called the police on your own bride-to-be?
David Vance: You assaulted a co-owner of this property inside her own house. What did you expect?
The heavy mahogany doors of the library swung open at the top of the grand staircase. Two uniformed police officers stepped onto the balcony, followed by a senior attorney holding a black leather briefcase.
Officer Miller: Miss Victoria Vance? We have a visual recording of an unprovoked physical assault on this premises[span_15](start_span)[span_15](end_span).
Victoria Vance: Officers, this is a huge misunderstanding! I am Victoria Vance! My family owns the Vance Enterprises real estate network!
Officer Miller: We do not care who your family is, ma'am. Step down the stairs with your hands where we can see them.
Victoria Vance: David! Tell them to stop! Call off your security team right now!
David Vance: I am not calling off anyone. You assaulted Maya in front of multiple witnesses and state cameras[span_16](start_span)[span_16](end_span).
Attorney Robert Vance: As the chief legal counsel for the Vance Estate, I have already filed an emergency restraining order against you, Miss Vance.
Victoria Vance: Robert? You have been our family attorney for ten years! How can you side with this girl?
Attorney Robert Vance: Because Maya Lin is the legitimate granddaughter of Arthur Vance's original business partner, legal sole heir to the property trust.
Victoria Vance: Arthur Vance died six months ago! His entire estate was supposed to go to David!
Attorney Robert Vance: Arthur’s updated last will and testament was executed three weeks before his passing in front of two independent witnesses.
Maya Lin: My grandfather didn't want revenge, Victoria. He just wanted to make sure my family was protected from corporate greed.
Victoria Vance: Shut up! You engineered this whole scheme to take away my life and my wedding!
David Vance: You ruined your own life the second you put your hands on her[span_17](start_span)[span_17](end_span).
Officer Miller: Miss Vance, turn around and place your hands behind your back.
Victoria Vance: Do not touch me! My father is the chief executive officer of Vance Holdings! He will destroy all of you!
David Vance: Your father's board of directors is holding an emergency meeting right now to remove him from his position.
Victoria Vance: What? What are you talking about?
David Vance: Maya's legal team just revoked the primary liquidity line for your father’s firm. He is officially bankrupt as of ten minutes ago.
