Julian: You weren't supposed to be back from London until Friday.
Clara: clearly. You thought you had three whole days to replace me, didn't you?
Chloë: Keep your hands off my fiancé! Julian belongs to me now!
Clara: Your fiancé? Sweetheart, he is legally my husband, and this entire mansion is in my name.
Chloë stepped back, her face turning pale as she looked from Clara to Julian. The crowd began taking out their phones, whispering louder as the truth started to unravel. Julian tried to step between the two women, his hands trembling as he adjusted his tuxedo jacket.
Julian: Clara, we can talk about this in private. You're making a scene.
Clara: A scene? You invited three hundred people to my house for a fake wedding while using my family estate!
Officiant: Excuse me, sir, but is this woman correct? Is there a prior legal marriage?
Julian: It's complicated! We were in the process of drafting separation papers!
Clara: Drafted? You mean the papers my divorce lawyer flatly rejected yesterday?
The entire ballroom went silent as Clara pulled a folded document from her beaded clutch bag. She threw it right at Julian's chest, where it fluttered to the floor. The legal heading was clearly visible to those standing in the front row: *Petition for Annulment and Asset Recovery*.
Chloë: Julian, what is she talking about? You told me the divorce was finalized last month!
Julian: Chloë, shut up for a second! Let me handle this!
Chloë: Don't you dare speak to me like that! You said you owned this company!
Clara: He owns fifty percent of a failing firm that has a five-million-dollar line of credit guaranteed by my father's trust fund.
Julian swallowed hard, looking around at his business partners, investors, and high-profile clients who were watching every single detail unfold. His smooth, confident facade was completely cracking under the pressure.
Julian: Clara, please... think about my reputation. Think about the business.
Clara: I am thinking about the business. That's why my team is taking control of every asset tonight.
Julian: You can't just strip me of my position! I built that firm!
Clara: With my capital, my contacts, and my late mother's inheritance.
Chloë: You lied to me, Julian! You promised me a penthouse in Manhattan and a board seat!
Clara: He couldn't even buy you that short dress without using my platinum card, honey.
Chloë dropped her bouquet, her face burning red with embarrassment as she realized she had been used just as much as Julian had tried to use Clara. The surrounding guests began snickering, snapping pictures of the disastrous altar setup.
Julian: Clara, I made a mistake. I was scared of losing power, okay? Please, let's go upstairs and discuss terms.
Clara: The only terms you get are the ones served by my attorneys at eight in the morning.
Julian: You're going to ruin me!
Clara: You ruined yourself the moment you signed that fake venue contract under my company's corporate account.
