Ethan played the mansion's security recording.
The footage showed Clara walking through the hallway with her daughter.
She never went near the chest.
Minutes later, the woman who had accused Clara appeared on camera.
She looked around carefully before opening the chest herself.
Then she climbed inside.
Another person appeared later and locked the chest from the outside.
Ethan stared at the screen.
Ethan: “Who locked it?”
The recording continued.
The person turned toward the camera.
Ethan immediately recognized him.
Ethan: “You.”
The woman became pale.
Woman: “Ethan, please listen.”
Ethan: “You blamed Clara for something you planned yourself.”
She lowered her head.
Woman: “I only wanted to make everyone believe her story.”
Clara: “You put an innocent family in danger.”
Ethan picked up the phone.
Woman: “Don't call anyone.”
Ethan: “It's too late.”
The authorities arrived shortly afterward.
The evidence from the security footage was handed over, along with the statements from everyone inside the mansion.
The little girl stayed close to her mother as the truth finally came out.
Girl: “I told Daddy what I saw.”
Clara hugged her daughter.
Clara: “And you did the right thing.”
Ethan looked toward the woman as she was taken away.
Ethan: “You thought a lie would destroy Clara's life.”
He paused.
Ethan: “Instead, the cameras exposed everything.”
The mansion became quiet again.
But this time, there were no hidden accusations or unanswered questions.
The woman inside the chest had demanded that everyone believe her story.
Yet one little girl's honesty revealed the truth before an innocent person could be blamed.
