Marcus: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!
Chloe: Marcus! Thank God! Tell these incompetent cops to unhand me right now!
Marcus: Why are there police in our home? Victoria, why is Leo soaking wet?!
Victoria: Ask your wife, Marcus! Ask her what she was doing for the last twenty minutes!
Chloe: She's insane, Marcus! She broke in here with the police and started making wild accusations!
Officer Miller: Sir, are you Marcus Vance?
Marcus: Yes, I am. I demand to know why my wife is in handcuffs inside my own house.
Officer Davis: Take a look at this, Mr. Vance. We received a emergency dispatch with a live feed link ten minutes ago.
Officer Davis pulled up a smartphone screen, holding it directly in front of Marcus's face. The video footage showed the exact angle of the glass water tank. On screen, the baby was submerged, struggling for air, while Chloe sat on the couch in the background, casually sipping wine and checking her manicure without moving an inch.
Officer Davis: Take a look at what your wife was watching while your son was drowning!
Marcus: My God... No... Chloe, tell me this is a fake video.
Chloe: Marcus, baby, listen to me! It's a setup! The nanny altered the video!
Marcus: Shut up! Just shut up! You watched him?! You sat there?!
Victoria: She locked the door from the inside, Marcus. If I hadn't received the alert from the security nanny-cam I installed yesterday, Leo wouldn't be breathing right now.
Chloe: You installed illegal cameras in my house?! That's a breach of privacy!
Marcus: You almost killed my son! My own flesh and blood!
Marcus dropped to his knees beside Victoria, his hands shaking violently as he touched his infant son's wet forehead. The reality of the situation crashed over him like a tidal wave. The woman he married, the high-society heiress he thought would complement his prestigious family, had casually stood by while his child nearly suffocated in a glass tank.
