Officer Davis: We're taking her to the county jail for booking. Mr. Vance, we'll need you and the young lady to come down to the station to give formal statements after the child is examined.

Marcus: I'll be there right away, Officer. Thank you.

The officers led a kicking and screaming Chloe out of the master suite, her designer heels dragging uselessly across the expensive hardwood floors. Her sharp voice faded as she was shoved into the back of the police cruiser outside. The grand estate returned to a heavy, stunned silence, broken only by the quiet breathing of the sleeping infant.

Marcus: Victoria... I don't even know what to say. I was so blind. I was so focused on business expansion that I didn't see the monster living in my own home.

Victoria: She was very careful, Marcus. She threatened to destroy my family if I ever spoke a word to you. But I couldn't let her hurt my sister's boy.

Marcus: He isn't just your nephew, Victoria. He deserves a real family, away from all this toxic money and lies.

Victoria: What are you going to do now?

Marcus: First, I'm filing for an immediate emergency divorce and full annulment. Then, I'm surrendering any claim to the trust fund until the legal custody of Leo is properly sorted out.

Victoria: You'd give up the inheritance?

Marcus: Money built this house, Victoria, but it almost killed this little boy today. You risked everything, including your own freedom, to save him. Elena would be proud of you.

Victoria: I just want him to be safe and loved. That's all that matters to me.

Marcus: Let's go to the hospital. And after that... we're going to hire the best family lawyer in the state to ensure Leo stays with the only person who actually protected him. With you.

Victoria looked down at the infant sleeping soundly against her chest, her tears finally turning into a soft smile. For the first time in eight long months, the heavy weight of fear lifted from her shoulders. The glass tank stood empty in the corner, a dark memory of a nightmare that was finally over.
