The Hidden Wife in Disguise

A Cruel Boss Targeted My Son Until My Husband Showed Up

Sarah adjusted the apron around her waist as she looked around the bright mansion.

She had agreed to help her friend clean the huge Dallas villa for just one week.

Her husband Mark was a successful businessman who owned several properties across Texas.

They were extremely wealthy, but Sarah preferred to stay humble and keep a low profile.

She wanted to teach their young son Toby the value of hard work and honest labor.

Mark supported her values, though he always worried about her safety when away from home.

That morning, Sarah brought seven-year-old Toby along because his school was closed for training.

Toby was a very polite boy who sat quietly in the corner with his drawing book.

The temporary villa manager, Evelyn, walked into the grand marble foyer with a dark scowl.

Evelyn was an arrogant woman who treated service workers like they were completely invisible.

She stared down at Sarah with total contempt from the moment Sarah arrived that morning.

"Make sure that marble floor shines, maid," Evelyn barked while looking at her phone.

"I will make sure everything is spotless," Sarah replied calmly while wiping the lower trim.

Toby looked up from his coloring book and gave his mother a warm, sweet smile.

Sarah smiled back at her son, feeling proud of his gentle and kind nature.

Suddenly, Evelyn walked past a side table, her heavy designer handbag swinging wildly.

The strap caught the edge of a expensive decorative antique statue sitting near the corner.

The statue wobbled on its wooden pedestal before crashing heavily onto the hard marble floor.

It shattered into dozens of tiny porcelain pieces near the place where Toby was sitting.

Evelyn gasped in shock before her face twisted with immediate, cruel anger.

She pointed a long, manicured finger directly at the innocent young boy.

"You broke an antique, you worthless brat!" Evelyn screamed at the top of her lungs.

Toby flinched at the harsh voice and backed away against the bright white wall.

Sarah immediately dropped her cleaning cloth and rushed over to shield her young son.

"He did not touch it, ma'am!" Sarah insisted firmly, keeping her body between them.

"Do not talk back to me, you useless servant!" Evelyn yelled, stepping closer with fury.

Evelyn reached out and shoved Sarah aggressively, causing her to lose her balance.

Sarah fell back onto the slick marble, scraping her arm against the hard floor.

Toby began to cry loudly as he tried to help his mother stand up.

Evelyn raised her voice higher, completely unaware that someone was walking through the entrance.

The heavy front doors swung open suddenly, revealing a tall man in a tailored suit.

Mark had arrived early to pick up his family for lunch at their favorite restaurant.

His eyes widened in shock as he saw his wife on the floor.

A storm of rage swept across Mark's face as he stepped into the foyer.
