Beyond the Hidden Wall

Police Officer: Hands where we can see them! Nobody move!

Victor: Officer, over here. My name is Victor, owner of this estate. I called the emergency line.

Police Officer: Sir, we received a call about a missing child and an home distress alarm. What happened here?

Victor: My wife locked my six-year-old son behind this hidden wall panel to fake his death and steal my family estate trust fund.

Eleanor: He is lying! He is delusional! He broke that wall himself to frame me because I asked for a divorce!

Victor: I have a recorded audio confession from her and her accomplice, along with the physical evidence inside that alcove. My maid and my son are safe inside the library.

Police Officer: Ma'am, step away from the gentleman and turn around slowly.

Eleanor: Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am? My family owns three commercial properties in this city!

Police Officer: You have the right to remain silent, ma'am. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

The officer pulled Eleanor's arms behind her back, snapping heavy steel handcuffs onto her wrists. Her designer gown was stained with plaster dust as she kicked and shouted, being dragged toward the heavy front exit doors by two officers.

Eleanor: Victor! You will regret this! My lawyer will have me out on bail before lunch tomorrow!

Victor: Your lawyer is going to be too busy defending himself when federal agents arrest him for aiding in your fake death scheme.

Victor turned away from his screaming wife and walked directly toward the library doors, turning the heavy brass handle and stepping inside. Nana was sitting on the leather sofa, wrapping a warm blanket around Leo's shoulders while giving him a glass of warm milk.

Victor: Nana... I don't even know how to begin to thank you for what you did tonight.

Nana: You don't need to thank me, Mr. Victor. I just couldn't sit back and ignore that poor child's voice behind the plaster.

Victor: You saved my life, and you saved my boy's life. As long as I am alive, you will never have to work as a maid another day unless you want to. You are family now.

Leo: Daddy! Is she gone?

Victor: She is gone forever, Leo. She will never hurt you or come near our family again.
