A New Will Written

Drowned in Secrets

Marcus: Take her out of my sight, Officer. I never want to see her face in this house again.

Victoria: You'll pay for this, Marcus! You won't survive a month without me managing this house!

Arthur: He’ll survive just fine, Victoria. Because starting tomorrow, you won't have access to a single penny of his estate.

The officers led the crying, screaming heiress down the driveway and loaded her into the back seat of the patrol car. The red and blue lights faded down the quiet avenue as the gates locked shut behind them once more, leaving the patio in peaceful silence.

Marcus: Arthur, call our legal team tomorrow morning at seven sharp.

Arthur: I'm already on it, brother. We’ll file for emergency freeze orders on every joint account by nine AM.

Marcus: And I want her completely removed from my will and every single trust fund agreement.

Arthur: Consider it done. She won't get a dime from the estate, not even a court-ordered alimony allowance after what she did on camera.

Marcus: Good. Now turn around and look at Elena.

Elena stood by the pool edge, shivering slightly in her wet uniform, holding the towel around her own arms nervously.

Elena: I can clean up the water on the patio now, Mr. Marcus, if you need me to.

Marcus: Clean up? Elena, you jumped into six feet of water in full clothes to save a man who couldn't swim. You saved my life tonight.

Elena: Anyone would have done it, sir. I couldn't just stand there and watch you drown.

Marcus: My own wife stood there and watched me drown, Elena. You didn't hesitate for a single second.

Arthur: She’s right, Marcus. This young lady saved your life while everyone else failed you.

Marcus: Elena, starting tomorrow, you are no longer the housemaid of this estate.

Elena: What...? Am I... am I being fired, sir?

Marcus: Fired? Absolutely not. I’m appointing you as the chief estate manager with a full salary, private living quarters, and a complete trust fund scholarship for your nursing degree.

Elena: Mr. Marcus... I don't know what to say... I can't accept all of that!

Marcus: You saved my life, Elena. You earned every single bit of it. Loyalty and courage are worth more than any inheritance in Texas.

Arthur: I’ll draft the new estate paperwork tomorrow morning alongside the police reports. Welcome to the family team, Elena.

Marcus looked out across the quiet blue water of the pool, feeling the night air cool against his skin, finally free from the toxic web of deceit that had almost taken his life.
