A Reunion In The Park

He Held Her Photo Before Learning The Truth About Her

The sunny park was filled with bright daylight as gentle breeze rustled through the green leaves overhead.

Ethan walked along the paved walkway, his eyes searching every bench and open grassy area under the oak trees.

Then he saw her standing near the fountain, wearing a simple white dress that caught the warm sunlight beautifully.

Her golden hair fell softly over her shoulders, and her tender smile took his breath away instantly from afar.

Ethan stepped forward carefully, clutching the bouquet of red roses close to his blue button-down shirt with hope.

Clara turned around slowly as she heard his footsteps approaching on the smooth concrete path behind her.

She gasped softly, her eyes widening with pure amazement as she recognized the man standing right in front of her.

Ethan: I love you with all my heart. Will you give me a chance?

Clara: Ethan... I cannot believe you are standing here right now.

Ethan: I never stopped looking for you, Clara. Not for a single day over these five long years.

Clara covered her mouth with both hands as tears began welling up in her soft hazel eyes.

Clara: You should not have come looking for me, Ethan. It is not safe for you.

Ethan: What are you talking about? I just want to understand why you ran away from me.

Clara: My father threatened to destroy your family estate and ruin your father's career if I stayed.

Ethan froze in shock, looking at Clara as the heavy words settled inside his mind like lead weights.

Ethan: My father's business? Why would your family do something so cruel to us?

Clara: Because of the debt my brother owed to your family trust fund years ago before he passed away.

Ethan remembered his father mentioning a large corporate loan that had gone completely unpaid during his college years.

He took a step closer to Clara and reached out, gently holding her hand despite her visible hesitation.

Ethan: That money never mattered to me, Clara. You were the only thing that ever truly mattered.

Clara: My father locked me out of my inheritance and forced me to leave town without a word.

Ethan: We are adults now, Clara. No one can force us apart ever again if we stand together.

Clara looked deep into his sincere eyes, feeling five years of heavy emotional weight lifting from her shoulders.
