Stolen Standing At Altar

Her Bridesmaid Poisoned Her Drink to Take Her Husband

Mark: Where is Sarah? The limousine is waiting outside right now.

Claire: Sarah had a sudden panic attack and locked herself in the back bedroom.

Mark looked confused, adjusting the silk tie around his neck with trembling fingers.

Mark: What do you mean? She was so excited this morning!

Claire: She told me she cannot go through with this marriage, Mark.

Mark: That makes no sense! I need to talk to her right now.

Claire grabbed Mark's arm firmly, pulling him back from the hallway leading to the living room.

Claire: She threw her ring at me and ran out the back door, Mark.

Mark: She just left? Without saying a single word to me?

Claire: She never truly loved you the way I have loved you for years.

Mark looked completely heartbroken, staring down at the empty floor in absolute disbelief and sorrow.

Mark: I spent five years building a life with her. How could she do this?

Claire: Forget about her, Mark. I am standing right here in front of you.

Claire quickly slipped on Sarah's bridal gown and adjusted the heavy lace veil over her own face.

Mark: You want to marry me right now instead?

Claire: All the guests are already waiting at the church, Mark. We cannot ruin everything.

Mark looked at Claire with confusion, but his mind was spinning from the sudden shock of Sarah's disappearance.

Mark: I do not know what to say... everything is happening so fast.

Claire: Trust me, Mark. We belong together, and I will never abandon you like Sarah did.

Twenty minutes later, Claire stood at the altar inside the brightly lit church, holding hands tightly with Mark.

Pastor: Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?

Claire: I do, with all my heart.

The guests cheered softly, unaware that the real bride was lying cold on the living room floor miles away.

Mark: I hope I am making the right decision today.

Claire: You are making the best decision of your entire life, my darling.

They walked down the aisle together arm-in-arm, smiling for the cameras while local police cars drove past the church.

Claire: Let us leave for our honeymoon immediately, Mark.

Mark: Should we not check on Sarah one last time before leaving town?

Claire: No, she made her choice, and now we must focus entirely on our future.

Meanwhile, back at the suburban house, a delivery driver knocked loudly on the front door while holding flowers.

Delivery Driver: Hello? Is anyone home? I have a delivery for Sarah!

Receiving no answer, the driver peeked through the front window and gasped loudly at the terrifying sight inside.
