The polished marble floor of the luxury Dallas mansion echoed with the sharp, cold clicks of heels. Evelyn stood inside the high-key, sunlit bathroom, her sparkling navy gown catching the bright morning light. Beneath her gaze was a custom glass water tank, completely clear, holding a defenseless baby inside. With a cruel, deliberate movement, she lifted the heavy glass lid and pressed it down, sealing the tank shut.
Evelyn: Now even your dead mother cannot save you!
She smirked, her eyes gleaming with cold malice as she secured the top. The suction of the heavy glass created an airtight seal. Turning away without a second glance, Evelyn walked into the spacious living room, smoothing her dress. She sat gracefully on the pristine white sofa, picked up a glass of expensive red wine, and took a slow, calm sip. In her mind, her hold over the family trust fund and the vast Dallas estate was finally permanent.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the mansion burst open. The booming sound echoed through the high-ceilinged foyer as an elderly woman, Margaret, rushed into the house, her eyes wild with terror. Behind her, two armed Texas police officers stepped inside, their boots loud against the pristine floor.
Margaret: Texas Police are here! Move!
Margaret ran down the hallway toward the master suite, her heart pounding against her ribs. The officers followed closely behind, their hands near their holsters. They reached the bathroom, and the lead officer instantly spotted the clear water container. Without hesitation, the two officers rushed forward, unsealed the heavy lid, and lifted the wet, crying infant into the air, wrapping him immediately in a warm white towel.
Officer Miller: He's safe! Get him warm!
In the living room, the second officer grabbed Evelyn by the arm, twisting her wrists behind her back near the white sofa and clicking heavy steel handcuffs around her wrists.
Officer Miller: You are under arrest!
Evelyn: Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am?!
Just then, the front door rattled again. Carter, a tall man in a dark tailored suit, rushed into the foyer, his face pale and eyes wide with confusion as he saw officers standing in his home.
Carter: What is going on here?!
Officer Miller turned toward Carter, pointing a gloved finger directly at his face with a commanding, furious stare.
Officer Miller: Check your CCTV cameras right now!
Carter froze in place, his breath catching in his throat. Evelyn glared furiously from behind the officer, her hands tightly bound, but as Carter pulled out his smartphone to open the security system app, a cold chill ran straight down his spine.
