The Confession under Pressure

Mommy Don't Marry Him He Killed My Real Dad

Groom: It wasn't murder! It was an accident!

The entire chapel went dead silent again. Mark’s own words echoed off the high vaulted ceilings. He froze, realizing what he had just blurted out in front of fifty witnesses.

Bride: What did you just say, Mark?

Groom: I... I didn't mean that!

Bride: You just admitted he was alive! You just confessed!

Lily: He told my dad yesterday that no one would ever find him because he was going to marry you today and take full control of the trust fund!

Groom: The business was failing, Clara! Michael was going to bankrupt the entire firm with his crazy investments! I had to protect us!

Bride: Protect us? By locking my husband in a dark hole for five years?!

Groom: I kept him alive! I gave him food! I provided for him!

Bride: You kept him like an animal so you could steal his life, his money, and his wife!

Groom: He was a terrible CEO! I ran the company ten times better than he ever did!

Lily: You hit him with a pipe yesterday! I saw it through the grate!

Groom: He attacked me first! He tried to break the window!

Bride: You killed him... you actually killed him yesterday!

Clara broke down into silent, shaking sobs, but her eyes burned with pure rage. She pulled off her massive diamond engagement ring—the ring Mark had bought using Michael's stolen estate funds—and threw it straight at Mark’s chest.

Bride: You bought this ring with blood money!

Groom: Clara, please, we can work this out! We can fix the legal paperwork, we can pretend this never happened!

Bride: Pretend my husband wasn't murdered?! Are you completely insane?

Lily: Sirens! I hear sirens outside!

The faint sound of police sirens echoed from a distance, growing louder by the second as squad cars raced toward the chapel. Mark’s eyes darted frantically toward the side exit of the sanctuary.

Groom: I'm not going to prison for this. I won't let a child ruin my life!

Bride: Don't you dare step out that door!

Mark bolted toward the side emergency door, shoving an elderly guest out of his way. But before he could push the panic bar open, two police officers burst through the back chapel doors, guns drawn.

Police Officer: Freeze! Hands where we can see them!

Groom: Get away from me! I have high-priced defense lawyers! You can't touch me!

Police Officer: On the ground! Right now!
