Stripped Of Power

The Boy Left The Mansion For Her

Richard: Pro bono? You would risk your reputation for a common housemaid, Arthur?

Arthur: I am saving my reputation by making sure justice is served. What you did is not just immoral, it is deeply criminal.

Mary: I don't need your millions, Richard. I have worked hard every single day of my life, and I can give my son a real home filled with real love, not gold statues and cold walls.

Leo: I want to go with Mommy! I hate this place!

Leo took off his expensive beige suit jacket and threw it onto the marble floor right at Richard’s feet. He took off his formal leather shoes and kicked them aside, standing in his socks next to his mother. He held onto Mary's hand tightly, his small fingers interlocking with hers.

Richard: Leo! You step back here right now! You are throwing away your inheritance, your future, your entire trust fund!

Leo: I don't want your money! I just want my mommy!

Margaret: Let them go, Richard. You've done enough damage for one night.

Victoria: Shame on you, Richard. Absolutely disgraceful.

Richard looked around the room, hoping to find a single ally among the crowd of high-society figures. But every single person turned their backs on him. Whispers of disgust filled the air as guests began putting down their champagne glasses and walking toward the exit doors, refusing to stay at the gala any longer.

Richard: Fine! Walk out that door, Mary! Walk out with nothing! You won't get a single penny from the Sterling estate or my company!

Mary: I came into this house with nothing, and I am leaving with the only thing that ever mattered to me.

Mary picked up Leo in her arms, wrapping her apron around his feet to keep them warm against the cold floor. She turned her back on the billionaire, walking toward the grand wooden doors of the mansion with her head held high.
