Victoria: You can't leave me at the altar, Marcus! You can't do this to me!
Marcus: I just did.
Marcus turned his back on the altar, holding baby Emma securely against his shoulder while guiding Lily alongside him. The crowd of high-society guests parted instantly, creating a path down the long white aisle.
Victoria: You'll regret this! You'll be back on your knees begging my father for a job by next week!
Marcus: I would rather sleep on the street with my daughters than spend another minute in your sight.
As they reached the heavy oak exit doors, two security guards stepped into the doorway, blocking the exit on Mr. Sterling's nod.
Guard: Sir, Mr. Sterling requested that you step into the office to sign a non-disclosure agreement before leaving.
Marcus: Move out of my way before I drop this baby into my left arm and put both of you through those glass doors.
The guards looked at Marcus's eyes—burning with a fierce, dangerous rage—and slowly stepped aside, opening the heavy doors to the bright Dallas afternoon sun.
Lily: Is Mommy really not coming back, Daddy?
Marcus: No, Lily... Mommy is gone. But she kept you safe, and she brought you to me.
Marcus walked out into the fresh air, breathing deeply for the first time in three years. He carried his daughters down the steps of the chapel toward his car, leaving behind the three-hundred-thousand-dollar circus and the woman who had tried to erase his bloodline.
Marcus: Come on, girls. We're going home.
