Elena: Up here! Second floor corridor near the main staircase!
Richard: Officer, thank goodness you're here. We have a disgruntled employee who has broken into our home and threatened my family!
Four armed police officers rushed up the stairs, their flashlights sweeping across the grand hallway.
Police Officer: Everyone keep your hands where we can see them! Ma'am, step back from the baby!
Elena: Officer, please! Look at this child's wrists! Look at the hidden compartment in that wall right behind the painting!
The lead officer stepped closer, shining his heavy tactical light directly into the dark recess inside the wall.
Police Officer: Jesus Christ... there's tape rolls and water bottles inside here.
Victoria: Officer, she put those in there! She framed us!
Police Officer: Ma'am, quiet down. We watched the live feed on our dispatch screen while driving here.
Richard: That video is edited! It's a digital setup!
Police Officer: Put your hands behind your back, Mr. Vance. You're under arrest for felony child endangerment and false imprisonment.
Richard: Do you know who I am?! I will have your badge by tomorrow morning!
Police Officer: Save it for the judge, sir. Cuff him, boys.
Two officers grabbed Richard, forcing his arms behind his back and clicking heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists.
Victoria: Wait! You can't arrest me! I didn't do anything wrong! It was Richard's idea!
Police Officer: You're coming with us too, ma'am. You have the right to remain silent.
Victoria: Get your hands off my designer dress! You dirty pigs!
Elena carefully sat down on a nearby plush chair, wrapping a soft velvet throw blanket around the shivering toddler.
Female Officer: You did a brave thing today, young lady. Most people would have taken the money and walked away.
Elena: Nobody should ever treat a child like a dirty secret.
Female Officer: Child Protective Services is on their way right now to take custody of him and get him checked at the hospital.
Toddler: Safe now?
Elena: Yes, sweetie. You are safe now. Nobody is ever going to hurt you or hide you away again.
