Daniel removed the ring he had planned to place on Amelia's finger.
Daniel: I can't marry you today.
Amelia began crying.
Amelia: Please, Daniel. Don't do this in front of everyone.
Daniel: You made this happen when you chose to hide the truth.
Amelia stepped toward him.
Amelia: I can explain everything.
Daniel: Then explain it to the proper people.
The guests watched as Daniel walked toward the doors.
Amelia followed him.
Amelia: Where are you going?
Daniel: To make sure these documents are investigated.
Several family members stood in stunned silence.
The boy looked frightened again.
Boy: Did I ruin the wedding?
Daniel turned back and smiled gently.
Daniel: No. You stopped me from making a decision without knowing the truth.
The boy nodded.
Amelia reached the mansion doors, but Daniel stopped her.
Daniel: Until everything is explained, you're not going anywhere with me.
Amelia looked around the room.
Amelia: Everyone will hate me.
Daniel: That's not for me to decide.
The doors opened as Daniel led the boy away from the crowd.
The wedding celebration was finished.
The flowers remained, the music had stopped, and the guests were left staring at the bride.
