Arthur: What did you just scream across this room, Victoria?
Victoria: Arthur, darling... it isn't what it looks like at all.
Elena: Mr. Vance, the boy was locked behind the wall chute.
Victoria: Shut up! Don't you dare speak to my husband, you minimum-wage nobody!
Arthur: Let her finish, Victoria. Right now.
Leo: Dad! Daddy, don't let her put me back!
Arthur rushed forward and took the boy straight from Elena's arms into his own.
Arthur: Leo, look at me. Look at Daddy. Who put you inside that shaft?
Leo: She locked the latch from the outside. She told me it was hide-and-seek.
Victoria: He's making up stories! Children lie when they want attention!
Arthur: He was missing for three hours, Victoria. We had security combing the lake.
Victoria: He wandered off on his own! I told him to stay in the suite!
Elena: The latch was barred with a wooden dining chair wedge, sir.
Arthur: A wedge?
Elena: Yes, sir. A child can't reach that high or wedge it from the inside.
Victoria: You dare accuse me? I am the lady of this estate!
Arthur: You are my wife of six months, Victoria, and Leo is my only son.
Victoria: I planned this entire charity gala for your company! Everyone is watching us!
Dozens of wealthy donors and board members whispered across the room, murmuring behind champagne glasses.
Arthur: I don't give a damn about the gala. Where were you when Leo disappeared?
Victoria: I was greeting the senator at the entrance!
Elena: I saw Mrs. Vance in the back pantry twenty minutes ago, sir. Carrying a key ring.
Victoria: Fire her immediately, Arthur! She is inventing lies to extort money from our family!
Arthur: Elena has worked this estate for eight years. You moved in last November.
Victoria: So you take the word of a maid over your own wife?
Arthur: I take the word of the person holding my terrified child.
Leo: She said if I made a sound, you would send me away to boarding school forever.
Arthur: Did you say that to my boy, Victoria?
Victoria: He was misbehaving! He spilled red grape juice all over my designer gown!
Arthur: So you locked a seven-year-old child in a three-foot service shaft?
Victoria: It was five minutes! Just to teach him some basic manners!
Elena: His clothes are soaked in sweat, Mr. Vance. He's been in there over an hour.
Arthur tightened his arms around his son, his breath coming in jagged, furious bursts.
Arthur: Get my head of security in here. Call Marcus right now.
Victoria: Arthur, stop this scene! The board members are recording us on their phones!
Arthur: Let them record every single second.
