Marcus: Stand up, Clara. Put my daughter back in her carrier slowly, and don't make a single sudden move.
Clara: Mr. Vance, please listen to my voice. Look at me. I fell on my knees to catch baby Lily. My knees are bruised through my uniform.
Evelyn: Marcus, don't let her speak! She's trying to manipulate you! Look at how frantic she is!
Marcus: Quiet, both of you! Clara, step away from the child right now!
Clara gently set the crying baby into the padded carrier on the sofa and backed away, her hands raised in the air. Tears cut clean paths through the dust on her cheeks.
Clara: I have worked for your family for two years, Mr. Vance. I love Lily. I would give my life to protect her.
Evelyn: She was jealous! I caught her looking at my jewelry box yesterday morning! She wanted to hurt us where it hurts most!
Marcus: Is that true, Clara? Were you looking through my wife's things?
Clara: No! Mrs. Vance asked me to organize her vanity drawers yesterday at noon. I never touched her personal jewelry boxes.
Evelyn: Liar! You're a thief and a psychopath!
Marcus pulled his phone from his inner coat pocket, his face pale with rage. He tapped the screen rapidly, dialing three numbers.
Marcus: Yes, operator? I need emergency police dispatch to 442 Bel Air Drive immediately. My domestic employee just endangered my infant daughter.
Clara: Mr. Vance, I beg you, stop the call! Check the security cameras in the hallway upstairs!
Marcus: The upstairs hallway camera was disabled for repair two days ago, Clara. You knew that, didn't you?
Clara: Disabled? No, I had no idea!
Evelyn: See? She knew the camera was off! That's why she did it right there!
Clara: Mrs. Vance, how could you say this? You were standing right next to the bassinet! I saw your hand push the frame!
Evelyn: How dare you accuse me! I am her mother!
Marcus: That is enough! The police are three minutes away. Sit on that chair and do not move.
Clara: Mr. Vance, you are a wealthy man with a massive legal team, but you are making the biggest mistake of your life.
Marcus: My only mistake was hiring someone like you to work inside my home.
Evelyn: Marcus, honey, take Lily upstairs while the police come. She shouldn't be down here with this woman.
Marcus: Nobody moves until the officers arrive. Clara, if you move a foot toward that door, I will restrain you myself.
Clara: I won't run, Mr. Vance. I have nothing to hide. The truth always comes out, no matter how much money you have.
