The Evil Behind Closed Doors

The Maid Who Saved My Baby Girl

David: "Elena, are you hurt? Is Maya okay?"

Elena: "She is terrified, sir, but I have her. She is safe in my arms."

David: "Hold her tight. Do not let anyone near her."

David took two steps at a time, charging up the sweeping staircase like a man possessed. His boots slammed hard against the steps, echoing through the empty mansion. Patricia stood her ground on the upper landing, her chin held high, trying to maintain an air of complete composure.

Patricia: "David, don't be dramatic. It was an accident. The baby slipped from my hands."

David: "Slipped?! Elena saw you drop her!"

Patricia: "You're going to take the word of a common maid over your own wife?"

David reached the top landing, his chest heaving with rage. Without missing a beat, he raised his hand and delivered a sharp, stinging slap across Patricia's cheek. The sound crackled through the foyer like a gunshot.

Patricia: "AHH! You hit me! How dare you!"

David: "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW! CALL 911!"

Patricia: "You can't kick me out! I am your legal wife! This estate belongs to both of us!"

David: "You almost murdered my daughter! You are dead to me, Patricia!"

Downstairs, Elena sat up slowly, cradling little Maya against her shoulder. The baby girl was sobbing softly, her tiny hands clutching Elena's uniform. Elena gently rocked her back and forth, whispering comforting words while keeping an eye on the staircase.

Elena: "Shh, sweet baby. You're safe now. Nobody is going to hurt you ever again."

Maya: "Mama... mama..."

Elena: "I've got you, little one. I've got you."

David marched back down the stairs, his eyes fixated on his daughter. The anger on his face melted into pure vulnerability as he knelt beside Elena on the marble floor.

David: "Let me see her. Is she bleeding? Is anything broken?"

Elena: "I absorbed the landing with my arms and back, Mr. Sterling. She was scared, but I don't see any bruises on her."

David: "You saved her life. You literally caught my daughter out of the sky."

Elena: "I just acted, sir. I couldn't let anything happen to her."

Patricia descended the stairs slowly, rubbing her reddened cheek. Her eyes gleamed with venom as she glared at Elena.

Patricia: "You ruined everything, you little parasite."

David: "Shut your mouth, Patricia! Touch another door in this house and I'll have security drag you out in handcuffs!"

Patricia: "You think this is over? Check your prenup, David. You force me out, and half your estate, your shares, and your trust funds belong to me anyway!"

David: "We'll see what the judge says about your prenup when you're wearing an orange jumpsuit for attempted murder!"

Patricia: "Good luck proving it. It's her word against mine!"

Elena looked up, her voice steady and quiet despite her shaking frame.

Elena: "It's not just my word, Mrs. Sterling. Look at the chandelier fixtures."

Patricia's face went completely pale as she glanced up toward the ceiling. Nestled inside the decorative moldings were small, high-definition security cameras that David had installed just two weeks prior.
