Patricia: "David! Save me! Tell them you forgive me! DAVID!"
David: "Take her away."
As the guards led Patricia out of the courtroom in chains, David turned to Elena and smiled for the first time in months. The nightmare that had plagued their lives was finally over, and justice had been served.
David: "It's finally over, Elena. Maya is safe forever."
Elena: "She gets to grow up knowing her father fought for her."
David: "And knowing that a real hero saved her life when she needed it most."
They left the courthouse together, greeted by the bright afternoon sun. Outside, news reporters attempted to interview David, but he simply walked past them, focusing entirely on protecting his family from further media circus.
Back at the estate, the dark atmosphere that had hung over the home was completely replaced by warmth and laughter. David hired a new, trusted security team and restructured his entire estate plan, officially naming Elena as the legal guardian of Maya's trust fund alongside himself.
David: "Elena, I brought the updated paperwork from the trust lawyer."
Elena: "What is this, Mr. Sterling?"
David: "If anything ever happens to me, you have full control over Maya's inheritance to ensure she is raised with love and honesty. I trust you more than anyone in my family."
Elena: "I will protect her with my life, just like I did on that day."
David: "I know you will."
Little Maya ran across the plush living room carpet, clutching a stuffed teddy bear, and threw her arms around Elena's legs, giggling happily.
Maya: "Elena! Play with me!"
Elena: "Of course, sweetie. Let's go play."
David watched them play together, feeling a deep sense of peace return to his heart. The woman who had tried to destroy his life for money was paying for her crimes behind bars, while the humble young woman who risked everything to save his child was now a permanent, beloved part of their family.
David: "Thank you, Elena. For everything."
