David: "She's right, Patricia. Every single inch of this foyer is recorded in 4K resolution."
Patricia: "You... you put cameras in the main hall?"
David: "After money started missing from my vault last month, yes. And now I have you on camera dropping my daughter from the tenth floor."
Patricia: "David, please... listen to me. I was stressed! The baby wouldn't stop crying!"
David: "Don't come near us!"
David pulled out his phone and dialed three quick numbers, putting the call on speakerphone so his voice resounded through the vast hall.
David: "911 emergency. I need police officers and an ambulance at 400 Crestview Manor immediately. My wife just attempted to murder my infant daughter."
Dispatcher: "Sir, stay on the line. Is the child responsive?"
David: "She's responsive. My house maid caught her in mid-air. Please hurry."
Patricia backed away toward the front door, her mind racing. She realized her position of luxury and status was crumbling right before her eyes. But as she reached for her designer purse on the entryway table, David stood up and stepped into her path.
David: "You aren't taking a single item from this home."
Patricia: "That bag is mine! I bought it with my own money!"
David: "You bought it with my credit card, using the money my late wife left in our joint family fund!"
Patricia: "Your late wife is dead! I am the mistress of this house now!"
Elena: "You never cared about this house, or Mr. Sterling, or Maya. You only cared about the inheritance."
Patricia: "Keep quiet, maid! You don't speak to me!"
David: "She speaks for this family more than you ever will! Elena, take Maya to the library and lock the door until the police arrive."
Elena: "Yes, Mr. Sterling."
Elena gently lifted Maya and walked quickly toward the hallway. As she walked past Patricia, the woman made a sudden move to grab Elena's arm, but David stepped firmly in between them, grabbing Patricia's wrist.
David: "Don't even try it."
Patricia: "Let go of me! You're hurting me!"
David: "You are going to sit on that sofa and wait for the police. If you step outside that door, I'll have security tackle you to the driveway."
Outside, the faint sound of sirens began to echo up the winding suburban driveway. Patricia panicked, her hands shaking as she pulled out her cell phone to call her private defense lawyer.
Patricia: "Arthur! Pick up! David is calling the police on me! He's trying to frame me!"
David: "Tell your lawyer to bring a bail bondsman, because you aren't sleeping at home tonight."
The heavy front doors flew open again, this time revealing four armed police officers accompanied by paramedics carrying medical equipment. The lead officer took in the scene in a fraction of a second.
Police Officer: "Everyone keep your hands where we can see them! What happened here?"
David: "Officer, thank God you're here. My wife just threw my one-year-old baby off that balcony."
