Julian released Victoria’s wrist, stepping back toward the center of the foyer. The atmosphere in the room was suffocatingly tense.
Julian: Get out of my house right now! You will rot in prison for attempted murder! Call 911 now!
Victoria: Attempted murder? Are you insane? It was a pillow! Nobody got hurt!
Julian: You baited her into taking a dangerous fall onto a stone floor! You threatened a child's life to cause emotional trauma! Sarah, call the police right now.
Sarah: Yes, Mr. Sterling.
Sarah pulled her phone from her apron pocket, her hands still trembling as she unlocked the screen.
Victoria: Wait! Stop! Julian, please, don't call the police! If the board finds out I’m involved in a police investigation, they’ll freeze my inheritance shares from Father's estate!
Julian: Is that what this is really about? Father’s estate?
Victoria: I needed money! My bank accounts were frozen yesterday because of the lawsuit in Chicago! I came here to get cash from the emergency safe, but Sarah wouldn't give me the code!
Sarah: Because the safe code belongs to Mr. Sterling, and the estate manager specifically instructed me never to release funds without written approval!
Julian: You tried to rob my home safe, Victoria? My household manager was doing her job protecting my assets from my own family!
Victoria: It’s my money too! Father left the family business to both of us!
Julian: Father left you a trust fund with strict conditions regarding conduct and responsibility! Conditions that you have broken repeatedly! Did you really think I wouldn't check the security cameras?
Victoria froze, her pale face turning completely white. She slowly looked up at the high corners of the foyer, where small black camera domes were mounted near the ceiling molding.
Victoria: The... the cameras?
Julian: I had a full high-definition audio and video security system installed last month throughout the entire mansion. Every word you said, every action you took on that balcony, was recorded in high definition and stored on cloud servers.
Sarah: You have it all on video?
Julian: Everything, Sarah. The taunts, the threats, the moment she dropped the weight, and the moment you risked your own physical safety to catch what you believed was a helpless child.
Victoria: Julian, please... we can work this out inside the family. Don't hand that video over to the police or the estate lawyers!
Julian: You showed zero mercy to Sarah. Why should I show any to you?
Victoria: Because I’m your sister! You can't ruin my life over a maid!
Julian: Sarah isn't just a maid. She is a valued human being who protects this home while you try to tear it apart.
