FABLE

Framed on the Marble Floor

The Maid Who Saved the Billionaire's Infant Child

Arthur stormed across the grand foyer, his heavy dress shoes echoing against the marble. Elena scrambled to her feet, keeping baby Maya held firmly against her chest.

Elena: "Mr. Sterling, please listen to me! I caught her! Mrs. Sterling dropped her from the balcony!"

Arthur: "Don't you dare lie to me! 🇺🇸"

Victoria: "Look at her, Arthur! She was holding Maya near the railing and lost her grip! I ran down as fast as I could!"

Victoria descended the sweeping staircase, her hands pressed against her cheeks in theatrical horror. She reached out and snatched the baby from Elena's arms.

Elena: "That's a complete lie! Look at the balcony, Mr. Sterling! She was standing right there!"

Arthur: "Shut your mouth! You're just a hired maid in my house!"

Elena: "I risked my life! Look at my knees, I'm bleeding!"

Arthur: "I don't care about your knees! You almost killed my daughter!"

Victoria: "Arthur, call the police right now! Send her to prison!"

Arthur: "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW! CALL 911! CALL 911! 🇺🇸"

Elena: "Mr. Sterling, check the security cameras! Please, just check the footage!"

Arthur: "I said leave before I throw you out myself!"

Elena stood frozen, her chest heaving as tears blinded her vision. She looked at Victoria, who flashed a cold, victorious smirk behind Arthur's back. Elena grabbed her torn purse from the side table and stepped back toward the front doors.

Elena: "You know the truth, Victoria. God sees everything."

Victoria: "Get her out of my sight, Arthur!"

Elena turned and ran into the pouring rain, the heavy oak doors slamming shut behind her. She stumbled down the long driveway of the suburban luxury mansion, her hands trembling uncontrollably. She had worked for the Sterling family for three years, putting up with Victoria's cruel outbursts, all to save money for her younger brother's medical bills. Now, she was penniless, disgraced, and facing criminal charges for a crime she didn't commit.

She pulled her wet phone from her pocket and called the only person she could trust: her uncle, Thomas, a retired police investigator.

Thomas: "Elena? What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Elena: "Uncle Thomas... they threw me out. Victoria dropped the baby, and they're blaming me!"

Thomas: "Slow down, kiddo. Did you say Victoria dropped the baby?"

Elena: "Yes! I caught baby Maya off the balcony, but Arthur believes Victoria! He called the police!"

Thomas: "Listen to me very carefully, Elena. Do not talk to the police without a lawyer. Come to my workshop right now. There's something about Arthur Sterling's estate you need to know."
