Lily: "DADDY, DON'T DRINK IT! IT IS POISON!"
Diane: "Get back, you insolent little brat!"
Lily: "No! Don't touch it, Daddy!"
Lily lunged forward with all the strength in her small frame, slamming her hands right into her father’s arm. The heavy crystal glass flew out of Marcus's grasp, spinning through the air before crashing violently onto the bright white marble floor. The dark green liquid splashed in every direction, soaking the expensive rugs and running in thick, ominous streaks across the stone tiles.
Diane: "SHUT YOUR MOUTH RIGHT NOW!"
Marcus: "ARE YOU TRYING TO MURDER MY FAMILY?!"
Diane: "She's out of her mind, Marcus! She tripped and knocked it out of your hand on purpose!"
Lily: "SHE PUT THE POISON IN YOUR CUP! I SAW HER!"
Marcus dropped to his knees on the slick, cold floor, pulling a sobbing Lily into his arms. His heart pounded against his ribs like a sledgehammer as he looked up from his crying daughter to his wife. Diane stood frozen, her eyes wide with a mixture of rage and sheer panic as the pungent smell of industrial chemicals began to fill the grand entrance hall.
Marcus: "What is this smell, Diane? Answer me!"
Diane: "It’s just an organic energy blend! She’s making up stories to drive a wedge between us!"
Marcus: "An energy blend doesn't strip the polish off marble! Look at the floor!"
Diane: "Marcus, listen to me, you’re letting a confused seven-year-old control your judgment!"
Marcus: "She saved my life!"
Diane: "You are being completely insane right now!"
Marcus: "No, I am finally seeing who you really are."
Marcus stood up slowly, keeping Lily safely behind his back. The sheer betrayal stung deeper than any physical wound, but the burning instinct to protect his child overpowered every trace of shock. He stepped over the puddle of smoking green liquid, moving toward the woman he had trusted with his life and his vast estate just six months ago.
Diane: "Don't you dare come any closer to me, Marcus!"
Marcus: "You brought this into my home, under my roof, in front of my daughter!"
Diane: "I gave up everything for this family! You owe me respect!"
Marcus: "You wanted my money, my life insurance, and my estate!"
Diane: "That is a lie! I loved you!"
Marcus: "Then drink what's left in that bottle on the counter, Diane. Prove it to me right now."
